Cody Rhodes not bothered by The Rock, CM Punk returning to WWE

In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Cody Rhodes addressed the recent returns of The Rock and CM Punk to WWE.

Despite both men looking for a potential main event at WrestleMania 40, Rhodes claimed he was not bothered by their returns, stating:

“The Rock is The Great One–he’s still electrifying. CM Punk is one of the greatest stars in the history of wrestling. I know what I’m up against. Look at the roster–it’s loaded with stars. But that doesn’t bother me. I’m not flinching. I’m not rooting against anyone else, I’m just working to make it happen.”

The Rock made a surprise return at the Day 1 edition of WWE RAW, teasing a match against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania at the end of his promo by stating he wanted to “sit at the Head of the Table.”

Punk returned to WWE at Survivor Series 2023 after nearly a decade away from the company, and has begun feuding with Seth Rollins for what appears to be a bout for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania.
