Former NXT Superstar The Velveteen Dream (real name Patrick Clark), released a video on his Instagram, apologizing to his family, WWE and the fans.
In the video, Clark takes full accountability for his behavior, which has included multiple arrests for drug paraphernalia since his release from WWE.
The apologies to WWE included Paul Levesque, Shawn Michaels and Ashante Adonis.
In April 2020, Clark was accused of sending indecent pictures to underage boys using his Instagram, after a Reddit user posted screenshots of what appeared to be a picture of Clark naked on the SquaredCircle subreddit. Clark denied the allegations.
Two months later, amidst the Speaking Out movement, new allegations came out which indicated Clark had sent a sexually explicit photo to an underage girl and also had “inappropriate communications” with underage boys he was allegedly grooming.
WWE was said to have investigated the incidents, but found no evidence of any wrongdoing by Clark.
Clark was previously accused by EC3 of attempting to film wrestlers at a party using a bathroom.
Clark was released by WWE on May 20, 2021.
