According to F4WOnline and multiple sources, after Andrade El Idolo competes against Miro at Saturday night’s AEW Worlds End pay-per-view, Andrade is expected to be done with the company.
Also per F4WOnline, at least one report on Saturday stated the former WWE United States and NXT Champion is believed to be returning to WWE, possibly as soon as Monday’s Day 1 episode of Raw.
Some of the following was in the same report from F4WOnline:
The news has also been confirmed by PWInsider. The report from Fightful stated Andrade told AEW this past Wednesday at Dynamite he no longer wants to be with the company and was planning on leaving. The publication also said that they were told Andrade’s exit was less that pleasant, saying a major disagreement had unfolded. The Fightful report further noted that one WWE source was skeptical of the former Champion actually being Andrade, given that they doubted Levesque would tweet that before Andrade is even done with AEW.
Andrade has had some previous issues with AEW. He did at times, make it frustrations with the company known on social media.
Andrade debuted with AEW back in June 2021 and signed a three-year deal after he was able to secure his release with WWE in March of that same year. After being out of action due to a torn pectoral muscle he suffered in November 2022. He then returned to AEW as part of the debut of Collision back on June 17.
Andrade recently competed in the Blue League Continental Classic and had Miro’s real-life wife CJ Perry as his manager.
Andrade’s real-life wife and WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair is out of action for 9 months due to a torn, ACL, MCL and meniscus.
During Saturday night’s AEW Worlds End, CJ Perry turned on Andrade, causing him to lose to Miro. Below is an excerpt from Alex Kahrs’ recap of how it all went down.
Andrade goes for the figure four leglock again, this time locking it in! Miro refuses to give up as he tries to fight out of it…but Andrade bridges it! Only for Miro to turn over and counter the pressure! Andrade manages to turn it back over again, getting the hold cinched in as he bridges again…but as Miro grabs the ref to argue, CJ pulls Andrade’s arms out from underneath him!
El Idolo can’t believe this betrayal, and this gets him dropped down hard as Miro goes for the cover for a nearfall…before locking in Game Over once more! It’s all over now as Andrade taps out!
