An article from New Jersey’s Courier Post reports that Sonya Deville has resolved a charge in the state for unlawful possession of a weapon in February.
The charge was reportedly dropped following the completion of a pretrial intervention program in late November, per the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office.
The article makes note of a 2014 memo setting the precedence of entry into a diversion program being sufficient toward the clearing of such a charge, previously coming into play a year prior in the same county.
Deville, a former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, has been out of action since 7/28, when she teamed with Chelsea Green at that night’s SmackDown against Bianca Belair and Charlotte Flair.
An injury sustained by Deville would lead to Green finding a new partner to defend the titles with, with Piper Niven filling the role until they lost the belts to Katana Chance and Kayden Carter at the 12/18 edition of RAW.
