Fightful Select and PWInsider have both provided backstage updates on Liv Morgan after news broke on Friday that she was arrested in Sumter, Florida on Thursday for possession of marijuana.
The following is per Fightful Select:
-WWE was reportedly aware of her arrested soon after it happened, and long before it was public knowledge
-Several top WWE executives reportedly spoke with Morgan the day after the arrest, but kept the information in a small circle to avoid it getting out earlier than when it become public
-A WWE staff member said that because Liv has not been on TV, it has not did altered any creative plans
-Another staff member said that “Liv was honest about the situation and “there are no issues with her whatsoever”
-An additional top talent in WWE said that “Everybody liked Liv before, everybody still likes Liv. We’ll get our jokes off, and she’ll get hers off and nobody will be thinking about it soon enough.”
-One WWE name mentioned how Morgan was bonded out on Thursday and was on social media promoting SmackDown by Friday
-While marijuana is included in the WWE Wellness Policy, the company has not tested for it in several years. It previously resulted in a fine of $2,500.
PWInsider also confirmed Fightful Select’s report and added the following:
-Morgan should be back in the storylines for the build up to WrestleMania 40, and is said to be very much “in the mix” for a top, “high profile program”
-Morgan has long been considered a hard-worker and someone who is well-liked behind-the-scenes
-Sources in WWE claim they want the situation regarding her arrest to be resolved as soon as possible and that it is nothing that is putting her in danger of getting released or anything along those lines”
-The arrest does not currently appear to have hurt her standing with in WWE. Morgan has always been well liked and is considered a hard worker
-Several within WWE pointed out there have been talents with DUI arrests that have remained with the company, and Morgan was not charged with anything as serious criminally as a DUI
-One story making the rounds in WWE is that the vape pen, which allegedly contained a synthetic substance that Morgan was charged with possession of, actually belonged to someone else but had been left in her jeep
-WWE is currently waiting for the legal process to play out. Morgan is scheduled to be officially arraigned sometime next month in Sumter County, Florida
