During the 11/29 edition of AEW Dynamite, Tony Schiavone made the announcement alongside Sting and Ric Flair that Revolution 2024 will take place on March 3, emanating from the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina.
The event will be the home of Sting’s final match in AEW before retiring, in a venue that holds a lot of history for the Icon.
As mentioned during the segment on Dynamite, Sting and Flair faced off for the NWA World’s Heavyweight Championship at the first-ever Clash of the Champions event in 1988.
Per Fightful, Sting last wrestled in the venue in December 2021, teaming with Darby Allin and CM Punk to take on The Pinnacle of MJF and FTR.
An opponent for Sting’s last match has not been announced as of time of writing.
