More details have emerged as it pertains to former WWE Raw and SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey making a surprise appearance at Friday night’s Ring of Honor TV tapings the KIA Forum in Inglewood, CA.
Rousey teamed up with Marina Shafir against Athena and Billie Starkz during the tapings after the special live AEW Rampage went off the air.
According to Fightful Select, the hope with brining in Rousey is that she would help generate more subscriptions for the HonorClub streaming service. The report also notes as of Friday night, Rousey has not signed an official deal for ROH or AEW. Furthermore, it was said that Rousey appearing was a handshake agree with Tony Khan.
Fightful Select concluded by noting that Rousey is not the big surprise talent that will sign their deal with AEW at Saturday night’s Full Gear PPV at the KIA Forum in Inglewood, CA.
