The following news contains potential SPOILERS for the ROH tapings for 11/17.
During the ROH tapings on 11/17 at the KIA Forum in Inglewood, Marina Shafir made an entrance…and was joined by her close friend, Ronda Rousey.
It has been reported that Rousey and Shafir teamed together to take on ROH Women’s Champion Athena and her “minion” Billie Starkz, in a rematch from the previous night’s Wrestling Revolver event.
That match, noted by F4WOnline as being Rousey’s second match post-WWE, went to a no contest after Athena attacked Rousey with her championship. Per, PWInsider, the finish saw Athena nail the Eclipse on Rousey. However, the referee would not count the finish as she was not the legal competitor. Starkz went for a swanton, but Rousey caught her and locked on an armbar, forcing a submission. After the match, Athena tried to hit Rousey with the ROH Women’s Title Belt, but Rousey stopped her and taunted her with the title belt.
PWInsider also noted that Rousey looked super happy after the match and did a round around ringside taking selfies and high-fiving fans.
Rousey left WWE following a loss to Shayna Baszler at SummerSlam in an MMA rules match, recently appearing in pro wrestling once again to team with Shifer at Lucha VaVoom on 10/28 in an impromptu match against Brian Kendrick and Taya Valkyrie.
