Logan Paul, Rey Mysterio set to go ‘face-to-face’ on 10/20 SmackDown

Following remarks after a boxing vicotry over Dillon Danis, Logan Paul is seemingly ready to return to WWE…and his eyes are set on the United States Champion, Rey Mysterio.

Appearing as a guest on the MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, Mysterio announced the news that he and Paul would go face-to-face this Friday on WWE SmackDown.

After a dominating fight by Paul that ulimately resulted in a disqualification win, the influencer called out Mysterio for a shot at the title the WWE Hall of Famer won on the 8/11 edition of SmackDown.

Mysterio responded to the question of whether the match was a done deal:

“I’m gonna see what he has to say on Friday. We’re gonna have to tune in this Friday night on SmackDown. Because he called me out and I responded, but now we’re going to face each other and I have to hear what he has to say.”

Mysterio and Paul have faced off in some manner before, a tag match at WrestleMania 38 in which Rey and his son Dominik faced Paul and The Miz, a victory for the social media star and the A-Lister of WWE after Miz pinned Rey.

Mysterio took time during his appearance to give Paul credit for his improvement in the ring since his debut.
