Two matches are official for SummerSlam on Saturday, August 5 from Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan.
After a backstage promo segment aired during Monday’s WWE Raw, Seth Rollins will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Finn Balor. It was announced later during the show that Rollins accepted Balor’s challenge. Rollins successfully defended the title against Balor at Money in the Bank back on July 1 in London.
Following the opening promo from Cody Rhodes on Monday’s WWE Raw, Lesnar came out and attacked Rhodes leaving him lying in front of his family. Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar III is now also set for SummerSlam.
WWE SummerSlam will air live on Peacock in the United States and on the WWE Network everywhere else, beginning at 8:00 pm ET.
