WWE Hall of Famer’s first name gets botched on TV during Saturday’s UFC 290

WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio attended the UFC 290 pay-per-view, which took place live at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, July 8.

Mysterio attended the event to show his support for Mexican fighters Brandon Moreno and Yair Rodriguez for their championship fights. However, the person who makes and runs the graphics for UFC TV events, botched Mysterio’s first name by spelling it as Ray, instead of Rey, which can seen in the lower left-hand corner of the image in the Twitter posts below.

Endeavor, the parent company for UFC is in the process of a merger with WWE that is expected to be completed by the end of 2023. Together they will form a new publicly traded company called TKO Group Holdings.
