All day Friday there were apparently rumors making the rounds on the internet that WWE President and CEO Nick Khan and WWE Chief Content Officer were planning on having a “creative intervention” with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.
Fightful Select posted a report on Friday regarding the rumors. Fightful did confirm reports that Vince was backstage at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
According to the report from Fightful Select, the initial rumors said that Khan and Triple H were planning on having a meeting with Vince in which they were going to tell him to “back off” on his creative input, including the late changes he makes to Raw and SmackDown. It is also said that several sources from Fightful said that a possibility of a meeting taking place would not happen at television events, but during the middle of the week.
Fightful further notes that no such meeting has happened to their knowledge and that a WWE source said the rumors were “silly” with absolute no truth to them.
