AEW CEO, President and General Manager Tony Khan made the announcement during Wednesday night’s episode of Dynamite.
Collision will premiere live Saturday June 17 on TNT and emanate from the United Center in Chicago, IL. The show will air live every Saturday night on TNT from 8:00 to 10:00 pm.
This will Punk’s first match since the All Out pay-per-view back on September 4, 2022. It was during the post-event media scrum that Punk aired his frustrations with some of the talent, which led to a backstage altercation with EVP’s Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson. Tony Khan then suspended all four men from the promotion.
Omega, Matt and Nick Jackson returned in a backstage capacity back on October 26, 2022, but did not return to AEW television until the Full Gear pay-per-view on November 16 of that same year.
