During an exclusive interview with The Messenger, Alex Bliss revealed her WWE contract has been extended. Bliss and her husband Ryan Cabrera announced on Tuesday they are expecting their first child.
Bliss noted that she had already taken time off from WWE to prepare for The Masked Singer. She then went on to say that finding out she was pregnant aligned with her work schedule and gave her time to rework her current deal with WWE.
“WWE gave me time off for [Masked Singer] to kind of fully dive into that experience with rehearsals, vocal lessons, and all that stuff. Storyline-wise, I was not on TV anyway, so it really kind of worked out perfectly,” Bliss said. “[WWE] extended my contract, and so it’s just basically come back when I’m ready. Probably a month after the baby, I’ll start probably getting back into the gym, and getting ready for to see what my in-ring return looks like.”
According to Fightful, Bliss had said back in November 2020, that her contract with WWE was for “three and a half years.”
