During a recent interview with TMZ Sports, WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin gave praise to Pat McAfee, saying that McAfee “has a natural feel for the business.”
“Pat has a natural feel for the business. Epic performer. Great on the stick. Athletically, that match he had with [Austin] Theory was awesome. I think he’s amazing. He’s very entertaining. And, as a human being, I like him a whole lot.”
Austin’s interaction with McAfee dates back to WrestleMania 38 Night Two. McAfee was hit by a stunner from Austin. McAfee had back to back matches on the show, where he won his match against Austin Theory, but lost to Vince McMahon.
McAfee last appeared on WWE television during Night One of WrestleMania 39, defeating The Miz in an impromptu match.
McAfee, who recently became a new father, announced on social media last Tuesday that his show is moving to ESPN this fall.
