Photos: CM Punk backstage at tonight’s IMPACT’s TV tapings in Chicago

It has been confirmed by IMPACT Wrestling star Jordynne Grace and by WWE Hall of Famer Ricky Morton, who is working as a producer for tonight’s “Spring Slugfest” TV tapings, that CM Punk is backstage at Cicero Stadium in Chicago, IL.

We had reported earlier that CM Punk and Mercedes Mone’ were reportedly backstage at tonight’s tapings.

Fightful Select noted in their report that Punk was welcomed there and brought through by security, even by numerous fans.

Punk had visited backstage at last Monday’s WWE Raw, which took place at the Allstate Arena in Chicago. He was then eventually asked to leave by security.

Punk’s backstage appearances come as there is much speculation that AEW is debuting a new two-hour show on Saturday’s this June with Punk set to be the main star. It has also been said that the first show could take place at the United Center in Chicago.
