Night 1 of the 2023 WWE Draft took place on Friday night’s episode of SmackDown.
Triple H came out at the start of the show to announce the post-draft rosters will go into effect after WWE Backlash, which would be on the May 8 episode of WWE Raw.

As a result of The Bloodline (WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman, and Solo Sikoa) remaining on Friday Night SmackDown, the newly created WWE World Heavyweight Championship will be exclusive to Monday Night Raw. The inaugural champion will be crowned at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia on Saturday, May 27.
Night 2 of the 2023 Draft will continue on Monday night’s episode of Raw, which will air live on the USA Network and emanate from the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.
