Despite facing off briefly at the Royal Rumble in January, a match between Brock Lesnar and current WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther is not in any immediate plans for WWE, according to reports.
Speaking on the matter in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that such a match is not planned for SummerSlam or any time in the near future, stating further:
“Of course that can change because it is a viable match. But if Lesnar is scheduled on SummerSlam there is already a direction that isn’t Gunther.”
