AEW star legitimately fined for the use of slang term on Dynamite

According to report from Fightful Select, Saraya was legitimately fined for the promo she cut on this past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite that aired live from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

In her promo, Saraya said that she didn’t “expect anything less from a bunch of neckbeard stinky twats,” and then gave the fans the middle finger.

On Wednesday night, shortly after she cut the promo, Saraya took to Twitter and said she was fined for saying “twat”. She was part of an-ring Outcasts segment that included Toni Storm and Ruby Soho.

According to Dictionary.com, Twat is vulgar slang for “vagina.” It’s also used, especially in British English slang as a way to call someone stupid or useless.

Fightful Select also noted the proceeds from the fine went towards AEW Together projects. It was also said that Saraya did privately apologize.

Neither Saraya or AEW disclosed the amount of the fine.

The report further notes that a mass e-mail was sent out to AEW talents indicating that Saraya was fined for profanity and the use of a middle finger without informing BJ Whitmer, who was the producer and coach for the segment.

The report concluded by stating AEW talents have been discouraged from giving the middle finger to fans and from body-shaming them.
