AEW reportedly offers a contract to independent wrestling talent/past WWE extra

According to Fightful Select, AEW has offered a contract to independent wrestling talent Ashley D’Amboise.

D’Amboise is most notably known as the ballerina during the Miracle on 34th Street Fight on the December 23, 2022 episode of WWE SmackDown. She also appeared in two previous segments on WWE television in 2022. She was a participant in the Los Lotharios Kiss Cam during the April 1, 2022 episode of SmackDown. She then appeared during the April 11, 2022 episode of Raw as part of Dana Brooke & Tamina’s Bachelorette Party. She appeared the same night on a taped episode of AEW Dark.

Her last match in AEW was last October, when she lost to Kayla Rossi on an episode of Dark. She also appeared on the 2022 Fyter Fest episode of AEW Rampage last summer, when she teamed with Skye Blue to square off against Dr. Britt Baker. The two lost the match to Baker and Hayter.

Fightful Select also notes that several in the industry have said that D’Amboise “was a name to look out for because she was a quick learner and took to pro wrestling well.” The report also notes that those at Fightful spoke with would not confirm if the contract offer is for a full-time deal or tiered deal. However, the sources believe D’Amboise “will be signing within the next couple of weeks.”

D’Amboise, 32, made her pro wrestling debut back in 2021. She was trained by former NWA Television Champion Damian Adams. She has also been training at the Nightmare Factory, which is owned and operated by Cody Rhodes and QT Marshall. D’Amboise’s most recent wrestling match was against Samatha Starr in an NWA Women’s Television Title Tournament Match that aired on the February 13 episode of NWA USA, in which she won. D’Amboise also wrestled in a losing effort against Deonna Purrazzo that aired on a January 2023 episode of IMPACT Wrestling.

In addition, D’Ambroise has wrestled for Women’s Wrestling Army, which is owned by AEW star Maria Kanellis-Bennett and ROH ring announcer Bobby Cruise.
