During Friday night’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, Drew McIntyre appeared ringside during Imperium squaring off against Ricochet, Madcap Moss, & Braun Strowman.
McIntyre revealed during the most recent edition of The SmackDown Low why he was at ringside during the match. McIntyre said the following:
“Five weeks until WrestleMania. I want Gunther, and I want the Intercontinental Championship.”
Gunther has held the Intercontinental Championship for over 260 days.
Sheamus is also looking for a title opportunity against Gunther at WrestleMania 39.
WrestleMania 39 will take place on April 1 and 2 live from SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, CA.
