WWE is said to have interest in bringing back the Authors of Pain. It was noted the tag team is still very loyal to Paul Ellering, who served as their manager during their time in NXT. The report further said that is could be Ellering who negotiates AOP’s return to WWE.
Last year AOP attempted to start their own promotion Wrestling Entertainment Series, which never got off the ground. Their event that was set to take place at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham in the United Kingdom. The event, which was set for June 2022, then July, was postponed then canceled due to very low ticket sales and talent who were booked for the event said they were not paid up front as required by their management companies.
Biff Busick, formerly known as Oney Lorcan in NXT and the now defunct 205 Live, has returned to WWE as a producer. It was further noted that he produced the women’s matches NXT Vengeance Day.
AEW star Andrade El Idolo is still out recovering from surgery after suffering a torn pectoral from a match he had back in November. The belief is that he is not expected to be back to in-ring action until this spring.
