Former WWE Superstar Ricardo Rodriguez recently posted to his Twitter that he is filming a documentary. He also notes the documentary will show his addiction recovery process that includes getting out of rehab to living in a recovery home and dealing with homelessness.
He announced in March of 2022 that he re-entered into rehab for what is more than likely for a relapse of alcohol abuse.
Rodriguez debuted on WWE SmackDown during the August 20, 2010 episode as a personal ring announcer to Alberto Del Rio. He also assisted Del Rio to win his matches by distracting his opponents. Rodriguez worked as the Spanish commentator for AEW on October 27, 2021, taking the place of Willie Urbina, who was fired due to racist comments that he had made in regard to AEW star Hikura Shida.
Prior to his time in WWE, has wrestled for independent promotions So Cal Pro, EMLL, CWX, NWPW, NWT/NTLL, BPW, VPW, and IWL under a mask. He also had made an appearance in the then Florida Championship Wrestling on December 2, 2010 under a mask as Chimaera, where he teamed up with Matt Clements, Kenny Li, Buck Dixon and Husky Harris to defeat Big E, James Bronson, Kevin Hackman, Roman Leakee and Darren Young.
FOX 43 in Harrisburg, PA featured a story last month on Rodriguez. The story indicates he relocated to Lancaster in September 2022, and he opened up his own wrestling academy, called “Three Legacies Wrestling Academy”. The academy features seminars and lessons that are taught by Rodriguez. The article also notes that WWE alumni also come in to help Rodriguez teach students, as well as hold special seminars. Rodriguez also puts on family-friendly wrestling shows at different locations throughout Lancaster.
