Stephanie McMahon and Triple H reportedly ‘oppose’ WWE sale

According to a report from Axios detailing the events surrounding the recent return of Vince McMahon to WWE’s Board of Directors as the Chairman, and now McMahon moving forward with facilitating a sale of the company.

The article notes sources told Axios that Stephanie McMahon and her husband Paul “Triple H” Levesque ‘oppose’ the company being sold. Just days after Vince McMahon announced his return, McMahon’s daughter, Stephanie McMahon, resigned as co-CEO and chairman of WWE. Nick Khan is now the sole CEO.

There was a rumor on Tuesday that WWE had sold to the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund, which turned out to be untrue. However, in addition to the Saudi’s interested in the acquisition of WWE, Endeavor Group Holdings, Disney and Comcast are those among that are said to also be interested in purchasing WWE.
