Top Flight vs. Jon Moxley & Bryan Danielson
We go live right to the arena with Jox Moxley making his way through the crowd. The fans are very lively tonight. As Moxley comes over the guardrail, Top Flight takes out Moxley. In the ring Darius and Moxley exchange chops. Darius hits Moxley with a huge drop kick. Darius then hits Moxley with another chop. Dante comes in a attempts a pin on Moxley, but he kicks out as the crowd chants lets go Moxley. Danielson is tagged in and he kicks Danta and then tosses him to the corner and continues to kick him. Danielson then tosses Dante to the corner again and then nails him with a running knee. Danielson has Dante on the top rope as Danielson comes down with him but he lands on his feet and tags in Darius. Moxley tags in and then tags in Moxley. All four men are in the ring and they begins to brawl. Dante is sent to the outside by Moxley. Danielson then throws Darius out of the ring. Danielson is kicking Darius on the floor and now Moxley and Danielson double team Darius in the corner of the guardrail. Back in the ring, Danielson has Dante in the a submission hold and then puts two of his fingers in Dante’s nose and then locks in the dragon sleeper. Danielson lets go of the hold and then hits Dante with a huge chop. Danielson tags in Moxley who chops Dante. Moxley has Dante on the second rope and superplexes him down. Moxley covers Dante for only a two count! Danielson is tagged in as we go to the first break of the night.
-COMMERCIAL BREAK-
Back from the break, Moxley and Danielson kick Dante in the chest. Dante moves and gets the tag in on Darius. Darius hits both Moxley and Danielson with a kick. Danielson then comes back and slaps Darius in the face and kicks Darius in the chest, but Darius wants more. Darius catches the kick by Danielson and punches Danielson in the face. Danielson and Darius hit each and they go down. Dante gets tagged in and takes down Moxley and covers him but only for a two count as the fans chant this is awesome!
Darius hits Moxley with a half and half and then Dante takes down Moxley. Dante comes down with a frog splash on Moxley who counters with huge elbows. Moxley nails Darius with a king kong lariat as the fans go crazy! Moxley tags in Danielson. Top Flight now double team Danielson and then Moxley. Danielson hits Darius with a huge knee and cover him, but the pin is broken up by Dante coming in. Moxley is on the top rope and takes out Dante on the outside. In the ring, Danielson stomps Darius and then puts him in a submission and Darius is out and the match is over!
WINNERS BY SUBMISSION: JON MOXLEY AND BRYAN DANIELSON
-COMMERCIAL BREAK-
Jerome’s thoughts: A great opening match. The Portland crowd was hot for this match and they were loud for most of the match. The action was all over the place. Top Flight didn’t lose anything by not winning tonight. They have potential one day to be tag team champions. I hope they get a run with the tag belts one day.
We go to a backstage segment with Hangman Page holding papers that he wants the doctors to sign. Page says that what is going to happen to Moxley is what happened to Page. He will buy a billboard and mail a VHS in his basement to watch it with the rest of the BCC and then said he will see him Wednesday in Los Angeles at the KIA Forum.
AEW Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter & Britt Baker vs. The Renegade Twins
Huge ovation for Britt Baker. Portland loves the doctor! The fans pop huge for Jaime Hayter. Both women come out with Rebel. The fans chant Hayter and Baker. The Renegade Twins are already in the ring. Hayter is the ring and as the fans chant her name. Hayter is nailed by a huge drop kick from Charlette. Both hit Hayter with huge chops, but Hayter comes back. The Renegade Twins double team Hayter, but she nails both twins with a drop kick as the fans go crazy. Baker is tagged in as the fans chant DMD. Baker continues to slug Robyn. Baker then hits Robyn with a drop kick as we go to the break.
-COMMERCIAL BREAK-
Back from the break, Baker and Hayter double team the twins. Robyn fights back and kicks Hayter. Baker is tagged and Robyn tags in Charlette and hits Baker with a spine buster. Charlette suplexes Baker and covers her, but Baker kicks out as the fans chant DMD. Baker hooks Charlette and drops her down, but Robyn comes in. Hayter and Baker hit Charlette with sandwich elbows. Baker stomps Charlette and covers her for the pin! The fans go bonkers!
WINNERS BY PINFALL: BRITT BAKER AND JAIME HAYTER
We go to a vignette with House of Black. Malakai says he once knew a man who carried a gun in his pocket. He says he never answered that man and did not reply or play by the rules. Black says he misses his friend Eddie Kingston. He says Kingston is not the man he knows and loves. Brody King says that he will make him hear as the sound will be defining. Julia Hart then said House of Black is their to help him.
Perro Peligroso vs. Sonico
Peligroso shoves Sonico who then chops Peligroso with no effect. Peligroso drops Sonico with a spine buster and then a discus lariat and covers Soinco for the quick win. Peligroso pulls off Sonico’s mask as the fans boo very loudly. The commentary team still called Peligroso Preson Vance.
We go to a backstage segment with Renee Young interviewing Darby Allin who interrupted by The Kingdom with Mike Bennett running through his championships.

Jerome’s thoughts: The Baker/Hayter match was fun. The fans in Portland were clearly behind the heels. Tonight’s action has been non-stop all night as we have one more match left on Rampage.
TNT Championship Match: Darby Allin defends against Mike Bennett
Back from break Mark Henry is interviewing Bennett and Allin. Bennett says they assume who Allin is but they don’t know who Mike Bennett and will introduce Allin to the real Mike Bennett. Allin says Portland is where he had his first match and the past doesn’t matter.
The Kingdom and Mike Bennett are out first. Darby is out next to a huge ovation from the fans. He comes out with no skateboard and walks slowly to the ring. Chris Jericho calls Darby the most popular in AEW. Darby is sitting staring at Bennett as the fans chant Darby. Darby is up and takes his coat off. Darby slowly walks to Bennett who shoves him. Darby puts Bennett in a headlock as the fans chant lets go Darby! Bennett has Darby in an armbar. Bennett gets Darby in the corner. Darby takes down Bennett and locks him up. Darby and Bennett then exchange blows. Darby is on the second rope and Bennett then kicks Darby in the knee. The action spills to the outside as Bennett then tosses Darby into the guardrail and kicks Darby in the face on the outside. Darby fights back but Bennett comes back with a big shot to the face as he tosses Darby in the ring. Darby is on the apron and Darby takes down Bennett as both men hit the floor.
-COMMERCIAL BREAK-
Back from the break Darby and Bennett are exchanging blows. Bennett drops Darby with a death valley driver and covers Darby, but Darby kicks out! Bennett rolls up Darby but Darby counters as Bennett comes back as Bennett puts him in a submission, but Darby gets his foot on the rope to break the hold. On the outside Darby has a chair and sits Bennett on it. Darby is on the top rope and nails Bennet with a huge drop kick onto the floor! The fans begin to chant Holy S—! and then this is awesome! Maria Kannellis comes in as Darby was about to hit Bennett with a coffin drop. The ref kicks out Maria and then Matt Taven kicks Darby who falls to the mat. Bennett covers Darby for only a two count! Bennett and Darby are on the top rope. Darby then drives Bennett’s head in the top turnbuckle pad. Darby then drops Bennett with a code red on the mat and then climbs back up and nails Bennett with huge coffin drop to retain as the fans go nuts!
WINNER AND STILL AEW TNT CHAMPION: DARBY ALLIN
Jerome’s thoughts: Overall this was a great Rampage to begin the new year. The match of the night for me was Danielson and Moxley vs. Top Flight. Darby Allin and Mike Bennett was also a great match as well. Many may not like The Kingdom, but all three are hard workers and can play to the crowd well. I hope though they don’t become jobbers and win some matches on both Dynamite and Rampage.

We now go to Battle of the Belts V as Darby continues to celebrate in the ring. Jim Ross, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Chris Jericho are on commentary.
AEW World Tag Team Championship No Holds Barred Match: The Acclaimed defends against Jeff Jarrett & Jay Lethal
Jarrett and Lethal come out first to massive boos! The Acclaimed are introduced next and the fans go wild! Max Caster raps says that Jarrett is worse than Vince McMahon and chews on Sonjay’s pencil. The action starts out on the outside. Jarrett and Caster are fighting by ringside and Lethal has Bowens in a figure four leg lock. Jarret picks up Bowens and tosses him in the ring as both men slug it out. Bowens from the second rope hits Jarrett with a neckbreaker from the second rope. The fans sing go scissor me daddy as Bowens works on Jarrett. Lethal is tagged in and Bowens and Caster double team him. Caster drop kicks Lethal and drags him to the corner to tag in Bowens. Bowens nails Jarrett on the apron. Caster is on the rope, as Jarrett pushes him off. Jarrett takes down Caster as we go the break.
-COMMERCIAL BREAK-
Back from the break, Bowens and Lethal are in the ring exchanging blows. Bowens then hits Lethal with a huge lariat as both men go down. Lethal tags in Jarrett and Bowens tags in Caster. Caster takes Jarrett down with a huge Olympic Slam. Caster has Jarrett in an ankle lock in the middle of the ring. Lethal from the rope takes out the ref with a huge elbow. Billy Gunn then takes out Sonjay. Bowns hits Jarrett with a scissor kick and covers him as there is no ref. A another ref comes down and counts, but Jarrett kicks out at two. Jarrett has his guitar. Billy Gunn comes in but Jarrett low-blows Gunn. Bowens is nailed by the boom box from Lethal. Saddam Singh comes in the ring and Billy hits him with the guitar as Jarrett then nails Billy with the stroke. Singh picks up the ref and choke slams him. Lethal hits Bowens with the Lethal injection as Sonjay puts on a ref shirt. Aubrey Edwards breaks the count and breaks Sonjay’s pencil and knocks him out of the ring as the fans go crazy! The Acclaimed come back and nail Lethal with their finisher – the mic drop and cover Lethal for the win!
WINNERS AND STILL AEW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: THE ACCLAIMED
Jerome’s thoughts: That was a very fun match! The action was great, the fans were on fire for it. The ref bumps were booked well. You need to go out of your way to watch this match. Jarrett and Lethal are great heels and worked the crowd into a frenzy for what looked like a win until Aubrey Edwards made the save. Edwards is the best referee in the business. She is no nonsense and a lot of fun. Kudos to Tony Khan on the booking and writing for this match.

Back from the break Eddie Kingston and Ortiz challenge House of Black for next week’s taped Rampage from Los Angeles.
AEW TBS Championship Match: Jade Cargill defends against Skye Blue
The fans are behind Cargill who gets tin the face of Skye. The bell rings and Skye blocks a hammer throw from Jade. Jade picks up Skye and drops her down. Jade rolls to the outside and then rolls back in. Skye runs at Jade but is met with an elbow to the face as she rolls out of the ring. On the outside Jade choke slams Skye on the ramp. The ref checks on Skye as Jade goes back in the ring. The ref begins to count as Red Velvet walks out to the ramp and stares at Jade. Skye is still down on the outside but beats the ten count as Jade counts her abs and we go to a break.
-COMMERCIAL BREAK-
Back from the break I am not sure what happened. The Sling TV app crashed during part of the commercial break and I had to reboot it. Jade retained and is 48-0. Sorry everyone for not being able to recap the finish.

We go to a backstage interview with Lexy Nair interviewing Big Bill, Lee Moriarty and Stokley Hathaway. Hathaway who is the only one who talks said Jungle Boy and Hook will put in the dirt in LA.

AEW All-Atlantic Championship Match: Orange Cassidy defends against Kip Sabian
Kip Sabian is out first with Penelope Ford. Orange Cassidy is out next with Danhausen to a big ovation. Best Friends are not out with Cassidy.
The bell rings and here we go! The fans chant freshly squeezed as Sabian ducks an orange punch. Both exchange offense. Cassidy rolls Sabian and punches him as Sabian rolls out of the ring and goes to the corner of the guardrail. Ford puts sunglasses on Sabian as he mocks Cassidy. The Bunny skips down the ramp and both men go back in the ring. Sabian takes out Cassidy who ends up on the floor. Ford, Sabian and The Bunny hug. Danhausen tries to curse Sabian who then gets his fingers bitten by Danhausen. Sabian goes back in the ring and is met bu a drop kick from Cassidy. Sabian rolls to the outside and Cassidy leaps through the ropes onto Sabian who recovers and picks up Cassidy and slams him down.
-COMMERCIAL BREAK-
Back from the break, both men are in the ring. Sabian attempted a cannonball on Cassidy, but he slid underneath the bottom rope. Both men are on the top turnbuckle. Sabian hammers the spine of Cassidy. Sabian counters a beach break from Cassidy. Sabian is superplexed off the top rope. Cassidy gets up and takes off his elbow pad. The Bunny grabs Cassidy and is set to the back by the ref. Danhausen makes sure The Bunny goes to the back, but The Butchert and The Blade come out as Danhausen tries to fight them off, but the double team is too much. The Butcher and The Blade grab chair and sit at ringside. Both Cassidy and Sabian exchange elbow strikes. Sabian now mocks Cassidy, but Cassidy hits Sabian with a big elbow strike. Sabian mocks Cassidy again, who come back with forearms to Sabian. Sabian then follows up with a nasty headbutt on Cassidy. Sabian then hits Cassidy with knee and covers him, but NO! Cassidy kicks out!. Sabian tries again, but NO! Cassidy kicks out again! Cassidy is on the outside and attempt to double team him, but Best Friends come out to make the save. Back in the ring Sabian hits Cassidy with a neck breaker and covers him for a near fall! Cassidy is up and hits Sabian with a DDT and PK and and orange punch. Cassidy covers Sabian who gets his foot on the rope. Cassidy stomps Sabian. Cassidy then hits Sabian with two orange punches to finally get the win!

Jerome’s thoughts: Even though I didn’t expect any title changes on Battle of the Belts, it was still a fun show. The fans were engaged all night and not quiet for any of the matches. The match of the night was the Tag Team Title No-Holds Barred Match.
