Chris Jericho vs. Ricky Starks is now official for the first AEW Dynamite of 2023. This is a first-time ever match up for the two men.
During last Wednesday’s Holiday Bash episode of AEW Dynamite, Jericho offered Starks a spot in The Jericho Appreciation Society. Starks rejected the offer. Starks then challenged Jericho to a match on the January 4, 2023 Dynamite. Jericho did not immediately respond to the challenge. However, Jericho ordered his group to attack Starks from behind. Action Andretti soon came out to make the save from the beating Starks was receiving in the ring.
AEW announced on Twitter that it will be Chris Jericho vs. Ricky Starts on the January 4 episode of Dynamite, which will take place live on TBS from the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, WA.
The January 4, 2023 episode will be the kickoff for the new look and feel to both Dynamite and Rampage. The January 6 episode of Rampage will air live from the Veterans Memorial Coliseum, in Portland, Oregon, followed by a live Battle of the Belts special from the same venue.
