Length of Bandido’s AEW contract and the reasons he chose not to sign with WWE

According to a report from F4WOnline, more details on Bandido’s AEW contract have been revealed, including why he chose to sign with AEW or WWE.

It is being said Bandido’s full-time contract is for three years and has a maximum amount of dates set. Furthermore, it was noted that he will have more matches than most AEW wrestlers work in a year now, as there are no current issues with that. However, that could change if AEW starts doing house shows.

The reasons for Bandido choosing AEW over WWE are said to be family related. He has a child in Mexico, and his wife doesn’t want to relocate from Mexico, and he doesn’t want to not see his child all the time.

It has been assumed that signing with WWE would have required him to start in NXT and be based in Florida, which would have kept him away from home more often than he would have liked to be.

Bandido had an offer from WWE following his debut match in AEW where he unsuccessful won back the ROH World Championship.
