WWE Superstar reportedly has backstage heat for now deleted tweets

According to Fightful Select, WWE Superstar Braun Strowman reportedly has backstage heat from several co-workers following Crown Jewel for now deleted Twitter posts going after “flippy wrestlers” and “grocery baggers.”

Below is the content from Strowman’s now deleted tweet:

“Holy hell @TheGiantOmos can you believe we got 47 stars and reminded the people that no one cares about all these floppy floppers. Giants and Monster > flippy flipper bag your grocery’s at @kroger.”

The post received backlash from others in the industry, including responses from NJPW star Will Ospreay and AEW star Chris Jericho.

It was also noted by Fightful that Strowman has been on his best behavior backstage since his return to WWE, and has been easy to deal with. However, what is being called “social media Braun” has been an entirely different story. It is said WWE officials are aware of the heat.

Fightful Select indicated that it was reiterated by a source how Strowman’s comments are not part of an ongoing or upcoming angle, and likely will not be used as one on WWE TV. The same source said that Strowman could eventually be ribbed or referenced in some fashion on WWE television for his comments.

One WWE Superstar claims “they’ll never do a flip in their life” and noted that Strowman’s tweets should never have happened, and further said “We need them, and they need us. Wrestling is everything. There’s very little truly right and wrong. He didn’t come up in the business doing the things that a lot of those people did, so he probably doesn’t understand.”
