Ace Steel reportedly released from AEW

UPDATED 12:15 PM ET

PWInsider is reporting that they have independently confirmed Steel’s release.

Our original story is below:

As first reported Wednesday morning by F4WOnline, and then confirmed by Fightful, Ace Steel is no longer under contract with All Elite Wrestling.

F4WOnline notes that Steel was officially released on Tuesday.

Steel was part of the backstage fight that took place during the AEW All Out pay-per-view Out media scrum back on September 5 between CM Punk, The Young Bucks, and Kenny Omega, following negative comments Punk made during the scrum involving the three.

Reports at the time said that during the fight, Steel had bit Omega. Since the fight, AEW has suspended all of those involved and has not publicly commented on the situation.

Steel joined AEW in 2022, as a producer. Prior to the All Out PPV, he appeared in an in-ring promo with Punk encouraging him to accept Jon Moxley’s open challenge for the show, in which Punk took the rematch.
