WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio has officially moved from Raw to SmackDown.
Mysterio became the new number one contender to the Intercontinental Championship, by defeating Ricochet, Solo Sikoa, and Sheamus in a fatal four-way match on Friday’s night’s episode. The finish saw Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, and Brawling Brutes all battling to the back. Inside the ring, Mysterio hit Ricochet with the 619 for the three count.
Mysterio was a replacement for Karrion Kross, who was originally scheduled to compete in the match. The opening moments of Friday night’s episode showed that Kross and Scarlett were involved in a car accident. Drew McIntyre then came out and jumped Kross as he was recovering and continued the attack as referees and officials tried to break up the attack.
During commentary, Michael Cole and Wade Barrett said that Mysterio was now officially a part of Friday Night SmackDown. Earlier in the show, in a backstage segment, Mysterio told Triple H that he was not going to fight his own son and was upset at Dominik and was going to quit WWE. Triple H then told Rey to come to his office to work things out.
