Former WWE Superstar hospitalized after fire ants cause allergic reaction

Former WWE Superstar Eva Marie, (real name Natalie Eva Marie), recently revealed on Twitter that she was hospitalized over the Labor Day weekend.

Marie said she experienced an allergic reaction from fire ant bites on her farm. She shared a video on her TikTok account from inside the emergency room. She also noted that she was in “anaphylactic shock.”

In the video Marie shows her skin being red around her face, neck, shoulder, and down her legs. It also appeared that she was hooked up to an IV while on the medical bed.

FOX News also picked up on the story as well.

The 37-year-old first signed with WWE in 2013 as part in the first season of Total Divas. She then began wrestling in NXT in 2015 and was then called up to the main roster, appearing on SmackDown as a heel. In 2016, she was suspended by WWE for a violation of their Wellness Policy. Marie announced on August 17, 2017 that she and WWE parted ways.

WWE brought Marie was brought in 2021. Marie’s last appearance in WWE was involved in an injury angle on the September 27, 2021 episode of Raw, after being attacked by Shayna Baszler, who had used the steel steps to injure her opponents. The injury angle was done to write her off television so that she could start production on a movie. On November 4, 2021, Marie was released by WWE, as part of a seventh round of releases.
