There were rumors making the rounds Tuesday afternoon that newly crowned AEW World Champion CM Punk suffered a triceps injury during the backstage fight at the All Out PPV Media Scrum, that also included AEW Producer Ace Steel, The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega
However, Fightful Select has indicated that those close to Punk say he actually suffered the injury when he did a dive onto Jon Moxley during their match. It was aid that many noticed Punk checking on the injury during the match.
Punk could be seen icing the injury during the All Out PPV post-show media scrum. As of this writing, there is no word on the severity of the injury or if Punk is going to miss any in-ring time. Fightful Select further noted the word is Punk was “hurt” before the backstage fight began.
