After being without his first name for almost two years, WWE Superstar Riddle has officially reverted back to Matt Riddle. The name change was quietly done during Monday’s Raw, in a promo segment with Seth Rollins. Also during the promo segment, Riddle made a comment about Rollins’ wife, Becky Lynch. Rollins then insulted Riddle that he was a divorced b—–a–. The promo segment ended with Riddle and Rollins tearing off their microphones as they yelled profanities at each other.
WWE’s Twitter account also made reference to Riddle as Matt Riddle with video clips of the promo segment. Riddle and Rollins are set to square off this Saturday’s Clash at the Castle in Cardiff, Wales.
Lisa Riddle revealed this past Apri that she and Matt were divorced. Lisa was part news headlines back in 2020 when Matt admitted having an affair, while denying sexual assault allegations made by Independent Pro Wrestler Candy Cartwright. She accused Riddle of choking her and forcing her to perform oral sex back in 2018. Last July, Cartwright (real name Samantha Tavel), with no explanation, withdrew her lawsuit against Matt Riddle.
