According to a report by F4WOnline, tensions are high behind the scenes at AEW right now, especially with some of their top talents.
It was noted that the catalyst is Colt Cabana being dropped from the Dark Order with no explanation or angle. In addition, he is also not being brought to TV and was at one point was going to be cut. However, he was then signed exclusively for Ring of Honor instead.
This new report comes on the heels of AEW World Champion CM Punk calling out former AEW World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page at the beginning of his promo on this past Wednesday night’s Dynamite, calling him a coward. However, it is being further said the reference and the line “coward s–t” was not planned, as the plan was that Punk was supposed to stay focused on Moxley in his promo.
F4WOnline further states there is an air of inevitability of problems. Dave Meltzer said the following in the report: “But even if (Punk’s Page callout) didn’t happen, it was probably going to happen for something else just given the nature of the different personalities involved. It feels like a number of people are close to their breaking point if things don’t get settled.” The report concluded noting that Meltzer did not go into details about which other top talents were having issues and with who or what.
