Two words reportedly no longer considered “dirty” in WWE

Per a new report on Friday by F4WOnline, “Wrestling” and “wrestler” are reportedly no longer considered “dirty words” in WWE. 

The two terms had been banned in WWE in favor of “sports entertainment” and “sports entertainer” in recent years.  The report also notes this that this is part of a more “relaxed” atmosphere under WWE’s new management.

In addition, F4WOnline states, not only is it a more relaxed and calmer atmosphere, there is a feeling among the women that WWE is going to have more of focus on them, and the words wrestler and wrestling were no longer “dirty words” talent was instructed to never use without authorization.

Last September, F4WOnline and several other sources reported WWE talent was prevented from using the following words:

Blood, choke, belt, strap, diva, head shot, trauma, kayfabe, Mofos, house show, DQ, The Anti-Diva, spinal injuries, victim, violence, violent, wrestling, wrestlers, WWF, wifebeater, curb stomp, push and being over, babyface, heel, job, jobber, card, strangle, kill and murder.
