In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Lex Luger said being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame would be the “cherry on top of” his career. This coming Sunday’s episode of Biography: WWE Legends on A&E will focus on the the 64-year-old former WWE and WCW star.
In the interview with SI Luger also spoke on his current health and a possible induction into the WWE Hall of Fame. He noted that other than mobility issues from his spinal cord issue, he is very healthy. He further stated that it’s a miracle of God after what he put his body through. Luger did say that he does mostly uses a wheelchair or a walker, but can walk some.
When further asked about asked about possibly being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame someday, he said that he might pop out of the chair for that.
Thursday is the 25-year anniversary of Luger defeating “Hollywood” Hulk Hogan on the August 4, 1997 episode of WCW Monday Nitro for the WCW World Championship, which took place at the Palace of Auburn Hills, in Auburn Hill, Michigan.
