New report: Vince McMahon was “heavily edited” by WWE creative due to insensitive language and incorrect info

According to a report on Tuesday from Fightful Select, with Vince McMahon now gone from WWE, people within the company have reportedly been more willing to speak with the media as it pertains to Vince.

The report from Fightful Select notes that they heard from many people within the creative process who said that many of the writer’s and their assistants needed to “filter” McMahon and often had to know what to not write for McMahon while at the same time taking notes from him. It was further said in the report that the “minutes are heavily edited.”

In their report, Fightful notes “some of the stories included McMahon constantly calling people the wrong names, or using terms that weren’t socially acceptable, and that even he himself would have never allowed on television.”

Fightful Select said that one former production employee said to them “if a live feed of Vince McMahon on a headset any given night ever made it out, that it would provide a picture of that production experience, especially for the announcers. There were plenty of times he was in a good mood, but he would blow up at the most ridiculous things and act like they ruined an angle far past its expiration date anyway.”

When creative was asked about their expectations of what they want to see different when Vince McMahon was in charge to Triple H now being the Head of Creative, one individual said it would be “recall of what we have and haven’t done repeatedly. There were so many things that Vince insisted on doing that I’m pretty sure he didn’t remember doing over and over again, even when people would tell him.”
