Cody Rhodes offers to help a woman who fell victim to WWE ticket scam

WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes has offered to help a Tennessee woman who fell victim to a gift card scam which caused her to buy fake wrestling tickets.

Karen Trotter told News Channel 5 she attempted to buy her son tickets to a local WWE event. When Trotter Googled Ticketmaster, she thought that she had correctly contacted them, but it turned out to be a scammer that tricked her into purchasing $250 of eBay gift cards.

After hearing about this unfortunate story, Rhodes reached out to Olivia Michael at News Channel 5 to track down Trotter so that he can “set her up with something”

Trotter, whose son wheelechair/bed-confined, said it was difficult having to explain to her son his dream of going to a WWE event was robbed from him because of a scam. Now, it appears Rhodes will help her fulfill her original promise to her son.

Rhodes is out of action after undergoing surgery for a torn pectoral muscle. He is expected to be out up to nine months.
