As first reported by Sports Illustrated, and then confirmed by F4WOnline, WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns, is no longer booked for Money in the Bank. It is unclear as to why Reigns will not appear on the show. However, the Sports Illustrated report does note that plans changed after Money in the Bank was moved from Allegiant Stadium to the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
This past May, Reigns signed a new contract with WWE that has a reduced appearances on WWE television, including house show events. Despite the new deal, Reigns was scheduled to work Hell in a Cell, Money in the Bank, SummerSlam and the Clash at the Castle. It was then reported in mid-May Reigns was no longer scheduled for Hell in a Cell. Also according Sports Illustrated, the expected slate of opponents for Reigns hasn’t changed.
Reigns last wrestled at a house show in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on May 22 in a win over Drew McIntyre.
