Big Time Wrestling announced that WWE Hall of Famer Bret “The Hitman” Hart will manage ROH and AAA World Tag Team Champions FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) at the BTW event on Friday, June 10 at the Webster Town Hall in Webster, MA.
FTR, managed by Hart will take on Brian Pillman Jr. and Brock Anderson accompanied by WWE Hall of Famer Arn Anderson.
FTR has teased Bret Hart joining them in AEW. FTR was previously managed by WWE Hall of Famer Tully Blanchard. However, in a storyline, FTR fired Blanchard in March. Blanchard is now part of the AEW owned Ring of Honor, as he has his Tully Blanchard Enterprises faction consisting of Kaun, Toa Liona and Brian Cage.
FTR are huge fans of Hart and have become good friends with him. It was during the 2019 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony, when Wheeler, then under the in-ring name of Dash Wilder, punched the fan that attacked Hart, while he was giving his speech.
Last month while doing a virtual signing for Signed By Superstars on Friday night, Hart was asked if he is going to AEW. It appeared Hart was unaware that he had been rumored to join AEW, as the responded with: “Go there and do what?”
