Veteran professional wrestler Shane Helms (The Hurricane) took to Twitter on Thursday to announce he has signed a WWE Legends contract. He also made a joke regarding his age.
Helms last wrestled for on a full-time basis in early 2010. He made a surprise appearance at the 2018 Royal Rumble. He then returned to WWE in January 2019 to work as a Producer.
Helms also made a few special appearances on WWE television while working behind-the-scenes. However, he was furloughed on April 15, 2020 along with other budget cuts that resulted from COVID-19 budget. WWE brought Helms brought back in November 2020.
His last in-ring appearance was at the 2021 Royal Rumble.
