Championship belt designer Reggie Parks passed away Thursday at the age of 87 following a battle with COVID-19.
Bill Apter announced that Park passed away Thursday night at his home in Tucson, AZ. It was said that Parks became suddenly ill this week. Parks Facebook page also confirmed his passing.
Parks worked for the NWA, AWA and WWE. He also worked as a referee for the WWE.
Parks created the winged-eagle WWE Title, the classic WWE Intercontinental Title belt, several NWA belts. Parks also created belt designs for WCW and the UFC.
Parks was known as “The King of Belts” in the professional wrestling business.
