WWE has officially announced the signing of Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson to exclusive agreement.
We reported back on September 4 that Steveson reportedly had signed with WWE.
Steveson won a Gold Medal in Freestyle Wrestling at the Tokyo Olympics last month.
According to ESPN and confirmed by WWE, the 21-year-old signed a NIL deal that will allow him to attend the University of Minnesota for his senior year and defend the Division I national championship at heavyweight.
It was also noted that WWE will set up a remote training facility for Steveson near campus where he’ll learn the finer points of in-ring work with WWE coaches.
Furthermore, Steveson will also have access to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida where his brother, Bobby Steveson is currently training. After Gable graduates in May 2022, his multi-year talent contract with WWE will begin, and he will be a full-time performer with the company. It was said Gable be making appearances on WWE TV during the regular school year.
