Garza Jr./WWE Update
According to PWInsider AAA star Garza Jr. will be doing a WWE Tryout this month and is already expected to sign with WWE, and will likely take part in the upcoming Global Cruiserweight Series. Garza’s cousin, Ultimo Ninja, will be coming in for the tryout as well.
Another AAA Star Heading to WWE?
In this week’s Wrestling Observer Dave Meltzer noted that WWE is looking to sign a current AAA and Lucha Underground star who Meltzer says “hasn’t been in a major U.S. promotion” before that is currently frustrated with Lucha Underground’s direction, which narrows things down to Pentagon Jr., Fenix, and King Cuerno. All three are believed to be under contract for Lucha Underground for quite some time so it is unlikely that they would be willing to go anytime soon.
Rey Horus/Dragon Azteca Jr. Injured
This past weekend Rey Horus was involved in a very exciting match with CMLL’s Dragon Lee and suffered a pretty ugly looking injury during the finish of the match. He was put on a stretcher and the Lucha Underground star was taken to the hospital. LuchaMemes claimed later that he was fine but WildKast Sports, who books Horus in America a lot, claimed that Horus was still hospitalized over the injury and briefly lost feeling in parts of his body after it happened. He has been actively posting on Instagram and has been asking for a rematch with Dragon Lee so it looks like he will be fine.
Lucha Underground Close to Netflix Deal?
Dave Meltzer also reported this week that Lucha Underground/El Rey is close to signing a deal with Netflix to bring season one (and season two after the season is done) to Netflix in the near future. This would be another huge digital deal for Lucha Underground following the ITunes deal last week.
Mexico Announces Special Edition AAA Coins
The Casa de Moneda de Mexico (Mexico’s National Mint) announced at a special surprise show, outside the National Museum in Mexico City, they were releasing three special coins (that are really huge and look more like medals) representing Rey Misterio Jr., La Parka, & Psycho Clown. They will cost 560 pesos each ($35 U.S. dollars) and will be released soon.

Trauma II Involved In Ugly Accusations
This week Mexico City’s main news paper ran a story featuring Trauma II’s, of the extremely popular Indy tag team Los Traumas, ex-girlfriend accusing him of kidnapping and raping her. She claims that she broke up with him in December and this past Sunday Trauma kidnapped her, stole her cell phone, attempted to force her to get back together with him, and then got angry when she refused and beat and raped her before letting her go on Monday. Trauma II has vehemently denied this accusations and says that he is shocked at her claims. She has filed a complaint with the police so this is a pretty serious matter. Los Traumas have worked with CMLL/All-Elite as of late and I highly doubt they are going to wait to see whether or not Trauma II is vindicated before severing ties.
Laredo Kid Coming to Chicago
U.S. Indy promotion AIW announced that former AAA star Laredo Kid was coming to their event on 04/08. Laredo Kid worked a couple of dark matches in WWE last year and spent a few weeks at the NXT Training Center.
