Steve Pain of AAA appeared at Global Force Wrestling’s first “Amped” TV Tapings on 07/24 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Pain teamed with California luchador Blood Eagle and Bestia 666 in a losing effort against Misterioso Jr. (the California based Indy luchador not the CMLL star) and Los Luchas (Phoenix Star & Zokre). The match was said to be a really good high flying trios match with Bestia standing out.
TripleMania Coming to American PPV
This week AAA revealed that this years “TripleMania” will air not only on iPPV but will air on conventional PPV in America with English commentary! If you got the iPPV route it will be a little cheaper at $19 while the SD conventional PPV will be $20 and the HD PPV will be $30. Pretty much all the major cable/satellite providers, including Dish and DirectTV, will carry it. AAA also opened an English language site (www.aaalucha.com) to go along with that news. TripleMania airs August 9th and will be headlined by Myzteziz vs. Rey Misterio Jr. and Brian Cage vs. Alberto el Patron in a Hair vs. Hair Match. As a part of all of this Court Bauer is officially a part of AAA to help with their branding in English (North America). He is also being listed as an Executive Producer for TripleMania. Court previously was a writer for WWE in the 2000’s and he also ran his own promotion, MLW, that ulitized luchadors like Super Crazy, La Parka, and Juventud Guerrera during its run. He currently handles the MLW Podcast and has a loose affiliation with AAA and Lucha Underground for quite some time.
Bengala In Japan
AAA/Lucha Underground star Bengala is currently on a tour of Pro Wrestling NOAH taking part in the Global Junior Heavyweight League Tournament. Bengala formerly worked for NOAH for years as Ricky Marvin. Lucha legend Super Crazy is also taking part in the tournament as well as El Desperado who wrestled in CMLL for quite some time as Namajague. Bengala and Crazy will face each other on 08/05.

La Sombra and Rush Fight with Fans, Suspended
During the Main Event of a match between Los Ingobernables (Rush, La Sombra, & La Mascara) and Mephisto, Mr. Niebla, & Ultimo Guerrero a bitch fight between the luchadors and the fans erupted. Early in the match Mr. Niebla took a beer from a fan and threw it at Rush and then later in the match Rush also tried the same but ended up soaking some fans at ringside. Those fans were said to be very drunk and began throwing things at Rush and the other luchadors. Rush, Sombra, and Mr. Niebla began fighting with the fans. Security ran out and managed to break it up and get them about half way up the ramp before the same fans began throwing more things at them and taunting them. Sombra broke away from security and began kicking at the fans and then Rush ran out to join him. A fan had thrown an umbrella at them so Rush ended up throwing it back. Police would then get involved. The Lucha Commision, which was in attendance at the show, said that Rush and Sombra would be suspended from wrestling in Jalisco at all for three months. CMLL then suspended Sombra & Rush from the promotion. CMLL didn’t say how long the suspension will be but they are both off of the upcoming cards. You can see video of part of the altercation here:

Luchador Bestia 666 was really pushed by American Indy promotion Extreme Rising before it went defunct. Extreme Rising also brought in his father Damian 666 along with Rey Horus (when he was known as Hijo de Rey Misterio II), Pesadilla, and Super Crazy into the promotion. The promotion is now back, well sort of they are selling DVDs again, and they are once again selling the Best of Bestia which features some of Bestia’s best matches including his instant classic against Hijo de Rey Misterio. Rey Horus Returning to EVOLVE
Indy luchador Rey Horus will be making his return to America when he faces former WWE star Trent Beretta at EVOVLE 47 in Queens, New York. Horus has been pretty sucessful thus far in EVOLVE since making his debut a few months ago.
