Mike Tedesco’s Smackdown Review
February 19, 2015

Well, this will probably be my quickest review of Smackdown yet. There is literally nothing to say about it. It was an absolute nothing of a show. They finished their WWE Fastlane build on RAW and quite obviously had nothing really planned for this show except for one Goldust promo and the main event. They crammed nine matches into a two-hour window. That is way too many matches. Except for the main event, none of these matches were given any time to build whatsoever. They were matches for the sake of wasting time and just getting to Sunday. If you missed this show, you literally missed nothing.
The very, very few things I liked from this show were Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns blowing through their opponents in an attempt to show one another up. Bryan quickly handled The Miz, and Reigns had a quick but decent match against Luke Harper. I also liked the main event simply because it was given time to actually build to something. It was nice to watch a match where we’re not already in rest holds two minutes after the bell rang. Based on the attack The Authority laid on Erick Rowan, Ryback, and Dolph Ziggler at the end of the show, I’m figuring there will be a last minute six-man tag team match added to Sunday’s show.
Looking at the way they treat Erick Rowan, do you get the feeling they sent him out for the Survivor Series match literally with no thought put into it? They sent him out there at the last minute, realized that he isn’t that good of a performer, and now they’re stuck with him being there for storyline purposes. It seems like they don’t want anything to do with him. They constantly job the guy out and make him look like a lesser man compared to everyone else. Also, he literally has the worst theme music in the history of wrestling. I’ve never heard a song worse than Rowan’s.
Anyway, that was Smackdown. You missed absolutely nothing. This show was a disgrace. The people of Fort Lauderdale (I can’t remember the last time they had a televised show in that city) should have gotten refunds at the end of that one.
