The Final Impact

Yet again this week TNA just throw a whole bunch of stuff at is at lightning quick speed which makes it really hard to kind of digest everything. I was also trying to pay attention to the NFL Draft at the same time, which I will assume a lot of people were doing too, which didn’t help matters.
The opening promo with EY and Roode was really good with all the talk of their history together, and it set up the rematch very nicely only for MVP to cancel it and name himself #1 contender. I knew it was only a matter of time before this happened but I am so sick of heel authority figures that it was kind of nice to have a neutral one for a change. I truly hope they simply have the “Board of Directors” strip MVP of his duties because of his actions and then name a neutral commissioner or something because I really don’t want to see yet another power struggle storyline which I think we’re going to end up happening.
Bully’s segments at the TNA headquarters were funny though maybe a little too much as well.
I like look at half naked hot females as much as the next guy, but the reason TNA’s Knockouts division was initially appealing was because it wasn’t stuff like that. Just very good female wrestlers wrestling each other, and that match had more time than any Knockout match on TV has all year which is ridiculous. Why can’t they just have that kind of time for a straight up match?
The Tag Titles match was terrific and they really worked hard. They had to cram what should have been at least a 15 minute match into 10 minutes so there was a bit of rushing going on. I don’t blame the talent there, I blame the company. All guys did really well and it should have been the main event in my opinion. Good stuff but this feud looks like it is over, where now?
Angle and EC3 was way too short and really disappointing considering they have been building towards this matchup for awhile now. It’s another good win for EC3 but I don’t know where they will go with this Angle injury. He just came back last month, so what now?
Where the hell is Samoa Joe?
Kazarian looks like he is jobbing out the door unfortunately. TNA desperately needs new challengers for the new Tag Champs so they let one of the best tag teams in the world, Bad Influence, have their contracts expire. Got to love that logic.
The Menagerie was just way too goofy for my taste and way too gimmicky. I’m perfectly fine with Rebel being Knux’s valet because honestly wrestling needs more valets and managers, and she is nice to look at it too. I also don’t even mind Rob Terry being rebranded as this masked Freak but all the other gimmicky stuff is just too much especially the goofy clown. Last week I had people in the comments telling me how this was a Wyatt Family ripoff and that anyone can see it. Well either you are absolutely blind or just flat out delusional if you think that is a Wyatt Family ripoff. There is not one single similarity between the groups except Knux’s beard, which is had since about 2008. Oh and as one person said last week, The Freak is wearing a mask.
I like Bram trying to give Magnus his aggressive edge back and boy if they become a tag team they could add some much needed depth to that division if they gel together. I really hope that is where they go with this instead of a feud between to two.
