Tokyo Sports has reported that Mina Shirakawa is leaving Stardom at the end of March, having previously informed the promotion of her departure at the end of last year.
AEW and WWE were mentioned as potential destinations for the former Wonder of Stardom Champion, who made regular appearances in AEW in the past year including her role in the highly-praised storyline between Toni Storm and Mariah May.
Shirakawa, who began her career in 2018, faced off against Mercedes Moné at the Tokyo Dome in January, where the TBS Champion won the RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship in a Title for Title match at Wrestle Dynasty.
Fightful Select has since confirmed that Shirakawa is expected to head to AEW, and Stardom has announced a press conference for tomorrow at 6:00 PM local time (5:00 AM Eastern).
