Tony Khan has announced via social media that the “Maximum Carnage” edition of AEW Dynamite will include a Women’s Casino Gauntlet Match, with the winner earning a shot at the AEW Women’s World Championship at Grand Slam Australia.
Following the news, a 3-Way Match was announced for this week’s Dynamite, in which the winner enters the #1 spot in the following week’s bout.
The match set for this week’s show features two rivals (and former TBS Champions) in Kris Statlander and Willow Nightingale and a former Women’s World Champion in Storm, the latter looking to win back the title she lost at All In to current champion Mariah May…or simply to get her “first crack” at the championship, depending on who you ask.
The 1/8 edition of Dynamite emanates from the F&M Bank Arena in Clarksville, Tennessee, with the following week’s “Maximum Carnage” episode taking place at the Andrew J. Brady Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
