Report: Update on lawsuit filed against AEW by Kevin Kelly and Tate Twins

PWInsider has reported that AEW has filed a motion asking for the lawsuit filed against them in June 2024 by Kevin Kelly and the Tate Twins to be paused, including the discovery process, pending a decision to be made by the U.S. District Court Middle District of Florida (Jacksonville).

The case, which was moved in November 2024 to Florida from a District Court in Pennsylvania after AEW argued for litigation to be held in the state of the company’s main headquarters, stems from allegations by the plaintiffs of defamation, with the Tate Twins claiming a statement from Tony Khan regarding travel issues is “demonstrably unproven and false” and Kelly claiming breach of contract for being let go without compensation and reimbursement for money owed during his employment with the company.
